Waleed's Success Story

Waleed is a teenage male boy who reported to our school with delayed milestones and was enrolled for special learning and Occupational Therapy.
After a series of therapies that involved cognitive behavioural therapies and activities of daily living training, he was able to achieve what was expected as per the goals and objectives set for him. Thereafter he was referred by the management and by the help of the therapists from the school for a vocational course at the Kenya Institute of Special Education where he is currently undergoing training on mechanical engineering and is progressing well as per the reports.

Nuaim's Success Story

Nuaim joined BBC with speech difficulties and hyperactivity, struggling to focus and communicate effectively. Through consistent group and one-on-one therapy, he’s now able to speak more clearly, stay focused, and fully engage in activities. His transformation is a true success, showing the power of dedication and support!

Adrian's Success Story

Adrian, a soft-spoken 12-year-old learner with a history of hydrocephalus, joined our school facing major motor and cognitive challenges, including unsteady gait, poor balance, and difficulty with attention and sequencing. The OT team designed a holistic program combining strengthening, balance training, gait rehabilitation, fine-motor exercises, and cognitive skill-building.

Over time, Adrian made exceptional progress advancing from walking short distances with support to achieving full independent ambulation. He now shows better attention, follows instructions more easily, and participates confidently in class and social activities. His journey is a testament to his determination and the transformative impact of dedicated Occupational Therapy.

Alvin's Success Story

Alvin, a 13-year-old learner with autism, has made significant progress since joining our school. He initially struggled with sensory regulation, communication, and classroom routines, but with individualized occupational therapy focused on sensory processing, fine-motor skills, and social participation, he gradually became more confident and independent.

Today, Alvin transitions more smoothly, follows visual schedules with minimal support, participates in group activities, and uses self-regulation strategies effectively. His achievements reflect his hard work and the strong collaboration between his family, teachers, and therapists. The school is proud of his progress and encourages his continued growth.

Vincent's Success Story

Vincent, a 7-year-old learner with mild autism, has made impressive progress in his occupational therapy program. Initially, he faced challenges with attention, transitions, fine-motor skills, and social engagement. With individualized support focusing on sensory regulation, visual schedules, and fine-motor development, he has become more focused, confident, and independent.

This term, Vincent has shown clear improvements in handwriting, transitions, and peer interaction. He participates more comfortably in class and uses sensory strategies to stay calm and attentive. The school is proud of his growth and remains committed to supporting his continued development.

Leslie's Success Story

Leslie is a 6 years old girl who reported to our school with challenges in developmental milestones due to downs syndrome diagnosed at an early age. The challenges were: difficulty in activities of daily living performance (self feeding, general hygiene, telling and dressing), delayed speech and articulation issues, low concentration and attention span, challenges in learning. After a series of therapies and individualized education programs, Leslie is now more responsible when it comes to grooming, independent feeding and toileting.She can communicate her needs using simple sentences as articulation has now improved. Learning capabilities are now exemplary since she can do simple work given by the teacher and follows instructions both in school and home.

Hawi's Success Story

Hawi is a 14 year old boy with right sided diplegia (paralysis of one side of the body) through periods of intervention a lot of improvement have been seen both physically and academically. Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy is being done daily to maximize independence, improve mobility and transfer. Constraint therapy is also ongoing to improve Joint Range of Motion.
Through all these Hawi can now walk/ambulate without the use of walking aid and can attempt using the weak arm and has become less dependent in school and at home.
